Troubleshooting
Common capture problems and what to do about them.
"That doesn't look like a valid URL"
The capture bar needs a public address (mateoux.io, https://your-site.com). Private and internal addresses, and non-web schemes, are rejected before any work starts. They cost nothing.
The capture fails
Some sites block automated browsers. The capture may fail, or finish with Low coverage. Try:
- A different page on the same site. Blocking is often path-specific.
- Making sure the page is public. Mateo can't capture anything behind a login or paywall.
- Keeping the tab open until the capture finishes.
A capture that fails before Mateo starts building the package doesn't use a credit.
Coverage is Low
Low coverage means limited evidence. The build leans on screenshots and iteration. See Coverage and known gaps for what to check and how to work with it.
The capture lists known gaps
That's expected. Known gaps are what Mateo couldn't verify, listed so your agent asks you instead of guessing. Answer them as your agent raises them.
The Rebuild Package won't finish preparing
The package is prepared after the capture and shows Preparing… until it's ready. If preparation fails, retry it from the capture's result page. Your capture and its evidence stay saved in Captures.
You've hit your monthly limit
Quotas reset on the 1st of each month at 00:00 UTC. To capture more now, upgrade on the Pricing page. See Plans and quotas.
